His expression is really wonderful and full of excitement. It's great that you can show that through this photo. It certainly makes a person connect to your photography. One thing I would suggest would be not to use flash at this close of a range. It whites out the face and makes the photo have less of an effect. I would also recommend being more aware of your composition. Be sure to keep the subject in the frame and not to cut off parts of the subject. I hope this was helpful
